There are already many predictions that Apple will likely start the transition to ARM processors later this year. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo now says that even more Macs will transition to ARM processors in 2021 and beyond.

Apple will likely start will a lower-end laptop and slowly work up its line of products. Kuo says that replacing Intel with Apple designed ARM CPUs will bring significant cost savings and bring increased battery life.
Kuo estimate that the price per CPU would fall by 40-60% by switching away from Intel. But, Apple may have costs elsewhere for a USB controller. This controller is built into the Intel chipset, but would not be with the ARM processor. Apple would need to source this controller elsewhere, or make their own at a cost.
What do you think? Is the switch to ARM processors, worth it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
