Our Magic Keyboard for our 4th Gen 12.9” iPad Pro came in the mail today. Now I am writing this post on the new keyboard to give you my first impressions. We hope that this first impressions provide a good overview of the keyboard.

When I first picked up the package, I was surprised about how heavy it felt. I had heard about how the new Magic Keyboard was heavier than the iPad Pro itself and boy is it. While you do not realize how much the iPad Pro itself weighs, you have the same filling with the Magic Keyboard. Once you combine the two, it weighs about the same amount as the 2019 MacBook Pro 13”.
I immediately attached the keyboard to the iPad with ease and the keyboard was already connected and ready to use by the time I touched the screen to wake up the iPad. Apple never fails to impress.
Now on to the Keyboard itself. Honestly, since my daily driver laptop is a 2015 MacBook Air and my desktop (Windows with AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 32GB RAM, 2x 1080 Ti) has an older wired Apple keyboard (Model: MB110LL/A), the keyboard does not strike me as bad, in fact it feels amazing when compared to my MacBook Air.
For the trackpad, it is a little small, especially coming from an Apple Laptop. However, it seems to work great, but I will know more when I realize the full review of the Magic Keyboard.
Remember, these are just my first impressions. I will be using this keyboard for a week and come back with a full review. If you have gotten this keyboard let us know your thoughts in the comments below or on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram at iKillTheApple.
