The release of iOS saw very slow jailbreak development. In fact, iOS 10 has been near impossible to jailbreak. But now there is hope as there have been reports of a possible jailbreak from Pangu, which could be released as soon as today.
The Chinese jailbreak group, known as Pangu, released their first jailbreak immediately after iOS 7.1.2 was released. Since then, they have released many utilities including Pangu8 and Pangu9.
In the past Pangu, had kept the jailbreak community in the dark. However, Pangu has announced that a new jailbreak will be released after iOS 10.3.2 which was released on Monday. Pangu will likely not reveal anything else to us until after the utility is released.
Most jailbreakers are wondering why it has taken so long for jailbreak releases. There are a couple reasons for this, like Apple's new file system, the APFS. Recently, people have been starting to find flaws in the code. These flaws may be used in a jailbreak.
After the jailbreak is released, our next post will be a full in-depth guide. The guide will explain what the requirements for the utility and how to use it.
