Later this year, Sony's new Z9G Series 8K LCDs, A9G Series OLED 4K TVs, and X950G 4K LCD TVs will support AirPlay 2 as well as HomeKit protocols from Apple. Other manufacturers, including Samsung, Vizio, and LG have also announced support for HomeKit and AirPlay 2. All but Samsung will support both. Samsung will support AirPlay 2, but will not work with HomeKit.

AirPlay 2 support will allow compatible television sets to be able to stream videos, music, photos, and more directly from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, as well as multi-room audio across multiple AirPlay 2 devices. With HomeKit and Siri integration, users may control their TVs using Siri voice commands.
Some of the supported TV sets are set to be launched in the spring of 2019. Sony says that AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support will launch on them "later this year".
