The press release from Apple quotes Tara Bunch, Apple's Vice President of AppleCare saying,
At Apple, we're dedicated to providing the best customer service in the world. If a customer ever needs to repair their products, we want them to feel confident those repairs are done safely and correctly. We're always looking at how we can reliably expand our network of trained technicians and we're excited to partner with every Best Buy store so it's even easier for our customers to find an authorized repair location near them.
Now, including all of Best Buy's 992 locations that now offer Apple-certified repairs there are now over 1,800 authorized third-party service providers in the U.S. Apple also has over 270 retail stores locations that handle repairs leading to over 2,000 locations to get your Apple product repaired if it was needed. The release also stats:
This is three times as many locations as three years ago, meaning eight out of ten Apple customers will be within 20 minutes of an authorized service provider.
Right to repair is a big topic in the United States. Do you think customers should be allowed to repair their own Apple devices? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter @iKillTheApple
