In the post, I covered that iOS 13 is expected to feature a system-wide dark mode, improved multi-tasking, and a redesigned volume indicator. It may also feature a redesigned Home Screen for some devices and a revamped Files app.
macOS 10.15 is expected to drop support for 32-bit apps and bring iOS apps to the Mac, including Shortcuts, Screen Time, and iMessage effects. Apple is expected to introduce new Music, Podcasts, and Books apps in the updates.
Finally, I covered possible hardware releases at WWDC. While, Apple will likely not launch any hardware at the event, they may preview the upcoming modular Mac Pro.
Since that post, I have learned that watchOS 6 may see the introduction of a standalone App Store. The watch will finally receive its own calculator app and Apple Books.
On the iPhone side, Siri is expected to receive third-party app integration.. iPhones are supposed to get a systemwide Sleep Mode which would turn on Do Not Disturb, darken the Lock Screen, and mute notifications.
A report on Bloomberg says that Apple could also preview a new high-end display at the event. The monitor is said to be an 6K display with HDR. It is rumored to be the first Apple product to adopt mini-LED backlights. The technology will enable features like wide color gamut, high contrast ratio, and local dimming.
Now there is not a whole lot more news between last month and now. This will not be the last update from me covering rumors before WWDC. I am planning on writing a post for the week before the event. If you want to see this be sure to leave a comment and let me know on Twitter @iKillTheApple
