I used to have an iPhone SE for a few years, until it finally broke in late July forcing me to get a new iPhone. I settled for the iPhone XR, but was still holding out hope for the long rumored iPhone SE successor. Now, there are more rumors about the 'iPhone SE 2' will may launch during the first quarter of 2020 according to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

The iPhone SE was a great choice for those users that wanted a smaller display and a low cost iPhone. This successor, however, is rumored to have a 4.7-inch display and a design similar to the iPhone 8. 9to5Mac's Ben Lovejoy wrote:
But the iPhone SE 2 will be of zero interest to those who loved the iPhone SE for its form factor, not its price. The only good news for us is that it appears next year's flagship iPhone models will have a new take on the slab-sided design, along the lines of the current iPad Pro models.
This iPhone will likely feature the A13 processor featured in Apple's iPhone 11, and 11 Pro/Pro Max. It is also likely that the device will have Touch ID and not FaceID. The new phone is expected to be $399 for the 64GB model and will probably be able to upgrade to 128GB.
