The Mac Pro supports up to a 28-core Xeon with 1.5 Terabytes of RAM and 8 PCIe slots. In the graphics department, Apple is releasing a new MPX module, which is a 4 slot card that is fanless and has a huge heatsink. The card is not ordinary it is built to support a Radeon Pro Vega II Duo GPU (a dual GPU card) with 64GB of HBM2 memory. It allows for 3 simultaneous streams of 8K ProRes RAW or 12 4K streams.
We know that Apple is assembling this machine in Texas and has to be ready very soon. Apple cannot wait much longer if they do not want to miss out on holiday buying. We predict that Apple will make the machine available by next Friday, December 13 as we do not see them waiting until the very last minute for this exciting product.
