I do not foresee any types of laptops receiving folding displays. This is due to the on screen keyboard. Touch typing on a tablet or laptop size screen could run into palm and finger detection issues. Touch typing will be slower on these device and more prone to error. This would be a hinderance to many who type on a regular basis, like journalist, writers, and businesspeople.
Folding displays may be the future for tablets and phones, but unless there is a physical keyboard for a laptop, I cannot see how folding display laptops would work and be worth the increased price for the privilege to use a folding screen.
